Baby Shower!

What a day!

Today was my last day at work so I was sad and happy about that all day, just kind of hyper all day. Well, the ladies I’ve been working with threw me a surprise shower at lunch. I had mentioned to Ramona that we had moved down here and I wasn’t having a shower (I didn’t just come out and say it like hey, guys, throw me a shower! It actually made sense in context with the conversation.), so I had one today. It was great!

Ramona and Kim gave me a bunch of stuff that had been their daughters’, which was wonderful. I got a bunch of clothes from Ramona, whose daughter Phyre is 10 months. I got some dresses and most of the Classic Pooh crib set from Kim, whose daughter Sam is 3. She didn’t still have the sheet and she uses the curtain, but that’s cool. Classic Pooh stuff is very cute. Sophia gave me a bunch of little stuff like a nasal aspirator, etc. – she said she wanted to get me the useful things that she found so valuable when her daughter was a baby. The crazy thing is that two people I worked with for about 2 days each actually sent gifts for them to give me today! I mean how sweet is that?! Kelly gave me a neoprene bag that keeps bottles cool and Maggie sent me a $25 gift card to BabyGap! The department all together gave me an $80 gift card to Babies R Us. I was completely shocked. They really have been great to me there.

Ross says he's proud of me because wherever I go, people love me. I don't know about that (they may just love babies!), but I do feel really very blessed by people's generosity down here.

It's starting to feel like Violet will be here really soon…I still have no idea where I’m going to put all this stuff!
