Violet's first birthday party

We had a great time, y'all! There was good food, drink & celebratory cigars for the menfolk.

We stayed later than we planned, by about 45 minutes (as one should when one is having such a good time!), and then had to rush to get Violet to the car for her nap because she was getting so very fussy. She was so wound up she wouldn't sleep, though, so we were lucky and got to stop and see Aunt Dena for a few minutes since she was getting off work right when we were passing through that way.

It was a great day and we had bunches of fun - I hope I never forget the look on V's face when everyone sang Happy Birthday to her and clapped - she was thrilled! Thanks to everyone who came, you made it a very special day for the three of us!
